What is a themed photo walk?
A themed photo walk is a guided photographic experience built around a specific idea or way of seeing.
Unlike casual photo meetups, each session has a clear theme, and the location is intentionally chosen to support that experience. Through guided prompts, observation, and real-time discussion, participants are encouraged to slow down, see more intentionally, and create photographs with greater meaning.

Q: Do I need experience to join a photo walk?
A: No. All levels are welcome, from beginners to experienced photographers.
Q: What should I bring?
A: Any camera you’re comfortable with. Even a phone is fine.
Q: How long is the photo walk?
A: Total 2.5 hours, including a short introduction and reflection.
Q: Where does the photo walk take place?
A: Sessions are held in Honolulu area, often in Downtown, Chinatown or Waikiki area depending on the theme.
Q: Is this a technical photography class?
A: No. This is focused on how you see, not just camera settings.
This isn’t about adding more techniques.
It’s about removing what’s unnecessary, so you can see what is already there.
