Grand Prize (組合写真部門 最優秀賞)

In 2013, I received the Grand Prize in the Photo Essay Category of the Digital Camera Magazine Photo Awards in Japan. The awarded series, photographed in Utah, depicts the quiet resilience of life in subzero temperature. A horse standing against a frozen, mist-shrouded landscape. The images capture the delicate poetry of winter. Breath crystallizing in the cold, light dissolving into fog, and the quiet endurance of nature.

Through this work, I aimed to explore the tension between fragility and strength, silence and presence, finding beauty in a frozen subzero world.
