impermanence - PHI International Photography Awards

PHI International Photography Awards 3rd Place

The PHI International Photography Awards is a global photography competition open to photographers worldwide, recognizing contemporary work across a wide range of categories including fine art, documentary, and street photography. The awards bring together an international pool of submissions and are judged by a panel of industry professionals, curators, and experienced photographers.

With accessible entry and multiple categories, the competition attracts a diverse range of work from emerging voices to established professionals creating a broad and competitive field.

I was awarded 3rd Place in the Fine Art Street Photography category, with an image rooted in his ongoing exploration of theme impermanence, capturing fleeting moments shaped by light, movement, and human presence.

This recognition reflects not only a single image, but a continued development of a photographic approach grounded in observation, timing, and the space between moments.

Jun Tagai is a documentary fine art photographer exploring memory, impermanence, presence, and the beauty of everyday life.
