impermanence

Selected for the Moments Collective: Street Life Exhibition at iFocus Gallery and The Italian Cultural Institute of Athens in Greece from January 23–31, 2026.

"impermanence" emerges from my ongoing exploration of fleeting human presence within everyday landscapes. This image was not staged or anticipated, it unfolded naturally at dusk, when the pastel sky softened and the world briefly slowed. A palm tree sways in the distance as children play freely, unaware of the moment forming around them.

At the center, a single bubble drifts through the frame. Its iridescent surface catches the last light of day, reflecting both color and time. Fragile by nature, the bubble exists only for an instant, yet within that instant it holds joy, movement, and innocence.

For me, the bubble becomes a quiet metaphor for life’s most meaningful moments, unplanned, delicate, and impossible to preserve. Just as it floats briefly before disappearing, these moments remind us that beauty often reveals itself not in permanence, but in its inevitable passing.
