Oahu Market

Photographed during the early morning hours in Honolulu’s Chinatown, "Oahu Market" captures a moment as the city slowly begins to wake.

Established in 1904, Oahu Market has been part of the neighborhood’s daily rhythm for generations.

Drawn to the market’s iconic red facade, the soft morning light, and the passing figures, I photographed the scene not as a document, but as an impression of a fleeting moment.

The image reflects my ongoing exploration of observation, memory, and the beauty found within everyday life, preserving not just a place, but the feeling of moving through it.
