A Quiet Pause

After wrapping up a long day's shoot, I wandered into AC Marriott Downtown. A kind of modern refuge tucked between the older textures of the city.

A musician played familiar tunes, his voice melting into the hum of conversations. Nothing staged. Just the city breathing.

The bar offered its own kind of comfort, a pint of amber, another of gold. Condensation traced lazy lines down the glass. Nothing urgent here. Only the quiet rhythm of after-hours.

 A book "Death & Co"  sat nearby, as if waiting for someone to open it. Stories inside stories.

Things start to blur against the fading light.

Sometimes, a small drink after work says enough.
